YOU where never really taught about your political party Yea I'm talking to you

so I've decided that YOU don't know what the party you affiliate with be it republican democrat or whatever really stands for in 2004

I would however love for you to prove me wrong and I know that there are people out there who could prove me wrong so tell me what a republican believes tell me how a democrats views differ or what a democrat believes. There are fundamental differences but I have to say that defining them has been elusive to many and when you throw liberal into the mix it get's worse.I mean really is a liberal purist really liberal or just a liberal liberal or is s/he just a liberal democrat I'm inclined to just laugh and concern myself with issues not parties . The worst part is that people still vote their affiliation because they think Bush or Kerry upholds views that are party views when he doesn't and Nader or whomever does. still just to throw in my political leanings and muck things up a bit here's a couple of things that I find of interest in the current debates:

"We must remember that we are preventing more 911s by acting now and not later. Yes, 600+ US soldiers have given the ultiment sacrifice and the Iraqis have had much more losses. If we had done nothing, more 911s may have happened and many, many more Iraqis would have been continued to be murdered and torchured.
The United States of America and Iraq are much more better off than that can be ever be imagined."

my response is to the threat of terror and the patriot act:

  • Stop indefinitely detaining American citizens and give basic rights to those detained.
  • Stop "roving" wiretaps.
  • Strengthen terrorism laws that work, including sharing information with local law enforcement.
  • Restrict authority to seize library or business records.
  • Stop unreasonable sneak and peek searches, and ensure that there are reasonable safeguards on the use of roving wiretaps and the seizing of library and business records.
  • Assuring that terrorism laws are used to combat terrorism and not in ordinary criminal cases, such as to send the FBI to churches or anti-war demonstrations or to help a political cause.
  • Assuring government is transparent and information is available so that Congress and the public can hold the Justice Department accountable.
  • All citizens should have the right to a lawyer and that foreign citizens should be given the right to hearings to determine their status.
  • No secret monitoring of client-attorney meetings without the normal judicial review, including those individuals who were detained but not charged with a crime.

"President Bush, I am a 15 year-old from Arkansas. I believe you are one of the best presidents ever to reside in the White House. I thank you for your courage to stand by your beliefs and convictions no matter what the democrats or liberal news media try to do to you. I also thank you for bringing your Christian beliefs into your politics. We NEED a man of God like you in Washington. Keep a strong stand on the issues like abortion, cloning, and gay rights(marriages, etc.) You have SOOO much more support than the media tells America you do. I personally think that the war was just even if no WMDs are found---we liberated an entire country from an evil dictator that cared nothing about his people, only himself. God has truly blessed you and your family, as well as America by putting you in the White House. I am confident He will do it again in November. Thank you for all you have done. I pray for you almost every day, and I am confident you have almost every vote from the members of my church-----nearly 15,000. In the name of the Lord God Almighty who controls everything I say these words. Amen. A future Republican voter and Christian Evangelist or Pastor "

I believe that this kids faith could be great for him so my response to him and his church is the following link:
