congrats

a big Congrat's goes out to dave and Fali.
below is the speach I wrote for there wedding that they didn't invite me to

if you haven't met me I'm ylbissop i've been friends with Dave for what seems like forever and spent so much time around him. that his family feels like my own
But I still don't know why he chose me to be his Guest, because I know just about everything he's ever done and by the end of this speech he'll regret that

first to everyone here I would like to thank all of you for coming tonight and sharing this special occasion with Flai and Dave.
to Dave and Flai my Congratulations on the official termination of your isolation.
with that out of the way

I met Dave in highschool thru wirian and we clicked right away
I started going to the val and doing things we liked that have consumed more hours than we probably wish to admit
computers , video games, collectable figures, and comics. watched movies listened to music and occasionally played card or role playing games
we talk about philosopy physics art and Dave's piles of literature because he is to information what what a magnet is to metal – and you may remember...
nowhere else was this better demonstrated than in his old room at his parents house where you had to vault the piles of books and magazines just to get to the bed.

eventully we left Daves room we started to seriously date people
and in Daves case a list might take a while
we'd go out for a cup of coffe or a late night debate with friends
we talked to all types people to learn from them even if we thought they where wrong and eventully the idea of a bunch of friends that treated eachother with so much respect that they where a family grew into a group (the bto) whitch grew to over 200 people before our first new years eve party.

many people know my story of that night so i'll just skip over it.

and so , precedent dictates that I would be failing in my duty as Guest if I were not to include a story involving Dave and copious amounts of alcohol. Finding stories that where appropriate for the ocation turned out to be harder task. I settled on two sentances from Dave that i have never let him forget
once he Exclaimed Audaciously in a less than sober state THIS IS MY NATURAL STATE I WANNA BE DRUNK ALL THE TIME only to wake the morning after look at me thru sickly eyes and say I NEVER WANT TO DRINK AGAIN. weve all thought it but Dave exclaimed both with such furvor it will stick with me forever

Dave and i have always talked about girls..
what are they
where did we go wrong
is it them or is it just their emotional baggage that is atracted to us.
till one day Dave got lucky and i met Flai.
From that point on I always marvled at his relationship and how lucky he is to find a girl who could do and be everything to him
she photographs and paints
has ability to look good in anything
under stands him (with startling success)
and writes elegant poetry
like this excerpt from a poem which will always hold a special place in my heart:

Hi ylbissop.

needlless to say Dave and Flai have always been ouside normal as has been demonstrated by this wedding today
another prime example would be Dave and Flai's home just in case you never made the trip i reccomend it thoroughly it so eccentric it somtimes dwarfs the mutter museum and all in all can be a fun outing.

in the end
i've talked to them both when they had problems
and watched them play like children
got taken care of by them
and got beat up going to the val rio diner
gone out with them on halloween till an age where I suspect Daves neighbors only gave us candy because they feared us
and watched all of you gather because we love them and their eccentric ways
Dave and Flai both have been through hard times
but we all have
and that brings all of us closer together
I know Dave and Flai will be happy together
this marriage seals a family that has been a long time in the making a family thats not only Dave and Flai, not only blood relations but all that and friends.
we come from all over but everyone here has Dave and Flai in common
everyone here today and many others are already part of Dave and Flais family and have been for some time and thats what this is about for me if they bring us together where we can exist for even a moment without bias if we approve and celebrate them and each-other for all our gifts and eccentricities this is a tremendous success and unlike any wedding i've ever attended

so i propose we toast them because I appreciate that and I truly believe that they were made for each other.
Dave and Flai,
may your love be modern enough to survive the times, and old- fashioned enough to last forever and more original than this speach.(but hey if it ain't broke don't fix it right)
