my take on year zero

I thought i'd lay out what i think the songs are about as there is so much there any feedback/disagreements would be apriciated if you dont have it theres no excuse go get it it's $10 at hot topic.

let me preface this with this is all theory and my beleif not fact.

Hyperpower is the overature enter the world of year zero it sets the mood and stage a nation that dominates the global stage through economy, military power, and technological prowess destroying the earth it lives on ( Viability Index )and the main character of a government where free elections are banned and people are chipped(as on Operation Swamp 0000 and Operation Chip Sweep ) with a claustrofobic chaotic feeling where people are subject to the will of the government(as shown on thepriceoftreason.net) ultimatly creshendoing in chaos

the beginning of the end introduces more characters to the listner line by line:
the followers those too blind or scared to do anything as well as those who have full trust(unquestioning faith) in authority be it govt or religon.
the paronoids and radicals.
the ultra religous.
the confused/lost/hopless/apathetic.
it explains the situation the characters are all in i.e. that we all judge others to build our self images.
next line by line we hear the response of the characters to their circumstance:
followers say stay in line.
paronoids/ radicals say ACT NOW!
the ultra religous say just have faith in God.
the confused/lost/hopeless/apathetic say it May be too late.
there are dark things underneath the shiny surface of this world there is another version of this truth and if we can just wipe it away enogh we may gain insight into why this is the beggining of the end

Survivalism is the song of the paranoids pov
paranoids are basically followers who have lost their faith along the way and found contempt toward what they view as the authorities lies. they are often educated thru propaganda and have the ability to retell a story with substantial alterations in character or environment, to "revise" the view shown in the original work to make it fit their beliefs. we crave and are nearly force fed high definition news (ultra real violence) which substantiate our claims by aggravating our fears. we see ourselves as patriots. we have the belief that one must be prepared to survive a the impending major catastrophe. we anticipate and prepare for a future disruption in the current order of things by learning and living by skills that will help us to survive . we know everyone is monitored (as pictured in the music video) those dealt with by the authorities are the ones who try and speak out. the bible verses in the video refer to the water turned to blood metaphor for the situation at hand confirming the belief by john ferminger that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. I theorize that the water had a high concentration of perepin leading to Opal type effects whitch drive john mad by subjecting him to too much insight too fast he concludes in his "End Trip"(the experience of realizing the beginning of the end while on Opal) that
"all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her
fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication
with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through
the abundance of her delicacies. "
"And I heard another voice from
heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers
of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
this idea is echoed in the song as
"I should have listened to her
So hard to keep control
We kept on eating but our
Bloated bellies still not full
She gave us all she had but
We went and took some more
Can't seem to shut her legs our
Mother Nature is a whore
All bruised and broken bleeding
She asks to take my hand
I turn and keep on walking
What you'd do the same thing in the circumstance I'm sure you understand
the Survivalist's "End Trip"(the experience of realizing the beginning of the end while on Opal) and conclusions that lead to the survivalist attitude are further described by moria waag's transcript. the song echoes a contempt for those who are blind to what is happening thus in the mind of the paranoid they judge others they see as blind to build their self images.

The good solider is about the iconic follower who is epitomized by the soldier fighting at the command of authority as pictured in the LA mural(fight or die as in the comic)the follower is fulfilling their Manifest Destiny in a expansionist America outside its borders(illustrated by onecountryatatime.net). their views are summarized by the text revealed in the morse code from 13102951040
" 'Those destined for death, to death;
those for the sword, to the sword;
those for starvation, to starvation;
those for captivity, to captivity."'
the war experience helps enforce the idea that they are on the side of "right" but in the end they still don't know what to do. in the end they find themselves trying to believe. taking the perepin and being sedate and often sullen or unemotional. the followers "end trip" is the catch 22 that the drug meant to induce sedation in them and enforce control is also the drug which allows them to experience the presence. they judge the world apathetically and see no way to help they simply "step over the dead" as a non event diminishing their self image.

Vessel is the Opal experience defined. the theory being that perepin and opal are all stages of the same Hycephamitamyn drug strain.

Me i'm not explains the effects of red horse(reds) from the inside of the killer the situation is laid out on case number 71839j for use on the U.S. Wiretap website 1-216-333-1810 via the 2432.mp3. the use of the word "we" might refer to the fact that the effected person may be possessed carrying out an act cleansing on behalf of the presence.

Capital G refers to the greedy sellouts often those in a place of power such as Cedocore but plays a dual purpose as evidence against Inmate A (presumably Reznor) on Exterminal and introduces us to the various questionable ways the new government deals with subversive "terrorists". it is however subversive in itself and echos the ideas pointed to in Bianca Sherer's story

my violent heart is that it refers to the terrorist faction of the rebellion like Be_the_Hammer.

The warning is the clear explanation of the warning from the presence to us as evidenced by the spectrogram of the album version.

god given reveals the views of the ultra religious as evidenced in the church of plano pages and the militant religious as on 105th Airborne Crusaders.

Meet your master explains the view of the nihilistic yet almost sadistic Rebellion like che2 on another version of the truth. those who recognize the problem and embrace the coming of the presence as a solution.

The greater good tells the story of the assimilation of people into believing and following the government of Year Zero via perpin, persuasion, coercion, and religious salvation.

The great destroyer explains the view of the attacker from the star chamber event leading up to the terrorist act as evidenced by the "hidden" phrase that was discovered as plain speech at 2:24 in the song.

Another version of the truth explains the effects of perpin both the numbing fuzziness and the clarity on its removal as evidenced by its morse code link to gracetheteacher.net it's name references the site where people who have these new found questions gather and discuss what to do.

in this twilight explains the events and feelings surrounding the dirty bombs detonating at the 81st Annual Academy Awards and throughout the Los Angeles area. as evidenced by the image included on the usb drive.

zero sum describes the feelings and events surrounding the Hour of Arrival. Shame on us Doomed from the start May God have mercy On our dirty little hearts Shame on us For all we've done And all we ever were Just zeros and ones "This is the beginning".
