yea RFID is popping up everywhere walmart the DOD the new DAC cards and the oct 2005 pasports as well as the new id's and the only security it really affords is due to obscurity. so... if it concerns you that someone could know your name what you look like(via a picture), your address, age, place of birth, and biographical information dont plan to travel out of the country after october or whenever your current passport expires. as far as human implantation goes it would be very likely that it would be the same technology approved by the fda. but getting people to put up with being implanted would kill the project i think. more likely i think would be combining the nation id with the passport "to make it eiser for you" and provide more complete data and then simply make it illegal to not keep you id on you.
